This is an encounter episode — find a quiet spot, grab your journal and headphones, and come ready to meet Jesus.

In this encounter, Jesus is waiting for you. He's reserved a table — set perfectly, just for you — and He's ready to dine with His beloved.

In this guided experience you will:

  1. Receive a letter written by Jesus declaring who you are
  2. Open a gift chosen personally by the Father and Son
  3. Sit face to face with your Bridegroom and share what's on your heart
  4. Discover your heavenly name and identity

After the Encounter:

  1. Journal what stood out — the gift, the letter, any resistance you felt
  2. Ask Jesus about anything that surprised you at the table

Speaker A

Hey friends, it's Kristen with holistic hearts.

Speaker A

Today's episode, we're going to jump into a sweet encounter.

Speaker A

And with every encounter, I'm always going to encourage you to find a quiet spot where you can rest, you can close your eyes, you can be comfortable and just take some time to be alone with the Holy Spirit.

Speaker A

So wherever that is for you, find that spot.

Speaker A

Make sure you have your journal, maybe some headphones to lock in your Bible.

Speaker A

Close by.

Speaker A

Today we are going to have face to face time with our grim Jesus.

Speaker A

Closing our eyes, we're going to take a deep breath in and out again.

Speaker A

Breathe in and breathing out.

Speaker A

And then just starting to breathe in your own rhythm, but allow your body to just relax.

Speaker A

Holy Spirit, we invite you into this time.

Speaker A

Lord, you know what's on our hearts.

Speaker A

You see it, you acknowledge it.

Speaker A

We thank you for the invitation that you are standing with open hands, ready to take whatever is on our mind, whatever's feeling weighty or worrisome or even if it's just plans or to do loose, all the things, everyday tasks, we give it to you, we hand it to you and we choose to trust you that you have, you have it all, you hold it all, you know exactly what we need today.

Speaker A

We thank you for that.

Speaker A

So we let go with our hands now empty, Putting them in your lap or on your tummy, breathing in and breathing out.

Speaker A

Holy Spirit, we thank you that you are within us.

Speaker A

You are the still, small voice.

Speaker A

Let our thoughts sync up and line up and align with your kingdom.

Speaker A

Let us hear your voice.

Speaker A

Let us see what you want us to see in this encounter.

Speaker A

Today, we submit our imagination to you.

Speaker A

In Jesus name, amen.

Speaker A

Keeping your eyes closed, imagine walking down a road, a sidewalk.

Speaker A

You are in anticipation of meeting a dear friend, your beloved groom, Jesus, at a special restaurant.

Speaker A

As you walk down the street, the sidewalk, you take notice of where you're at.

Speaker A

Maybe there are trees lined along the sidewalk or shops or people.

Speaker A

What do you hear around you?

Speaker A

What do you see?

Speaker A

What's the temperature?

Speaker A

You approach the restaurant and a gentleman opens the door for you and you walk inside and there is one table.

Speaker A

It is a table that you know is set for you.

Speaker A

And there at the table is Jesus.

Speaker A

He's got one arm behind his back and the other arm reaching out to you to come and dine with him.

Speaker A

You notice the things on the table are so perfectly for you.

Speaker A

The tablecloth, it's in your favorite color.

Speaker A

The flower on the table, it's your favorite.

Speaker A

The dishes, they are special.

Speaker A

He pulls out the chair for you.

Speaker A

And you sit down and you notice that you're wearing the most beautiful dress.

Speaker A

He smiles and his twinkle in his eye.

Speaker A

You know that you are his beloved.

Speaker A

He sits down opposite of you.

Speaker A

He takes a deep breath.

Speaker A

And you take a deep breath.

Speaker A

Regulating with him.

Speaker A

Locking eyes with Jesus.

Speaker A

On the table you see an envelope.

Speaker A

It is addressed to you.

Speaker A

A name that you are known in heaven.

Speaker A

Bye.

Speaker A

You take a deep breath.

Speaker A

You open up the letter.

Speaker A

And inside it's a piece of declaration of who you are.

Speaker A

What did Jesus write down about you?

Speaker A

And notice what color is the paper, what color is the ink, what color is the sentence that he has spoken about who you are.

Speaker A

You take a deep breath and you are choosing to receive.

Speaker A

This is truth.

Speaker A

He pulls out another simple little gift and puts it on the table.

Speaker A

He leans in, expecting you to open it.

Speaker A

As you open it, you glance up at him.

Speaker A

And maybe he says, the Father and I couldn't wait to give this to you.

Speaker A

As you open it, you feel peace.

Speaker A

You feel a childlike wonder.

Speaker A

You feel glory.

Speaker A

Beloved, you are worthy to be at this table.

Speaker A

Maybe Jesus reaches out his hand to hold yours.

Speaker A

Maybe his hand has a hole in it from the cross.

Speaker A

You look it over.

Speaker A

Here before you.

Speaker A

You have the letter and the simple gift.

Speaker A

He loves to give good gifts, him and the Father.

Speaker A

And it's your chance to just sit and be with him.

Speaker A

And dining with the King of kings, the one who sits at the right hand of the Father.

Speaker A

And you continue to just be in the presence of the Trinity.

Speaker A

He asked what's on your heart and you share.

Speaker A

You ask him a question and you listen as he responds, Taking all the time you need.

Speaker A

Enjoy this one on one time with the bridegroom.

Speaker A

And the invitation is to write down whatever stood out to you in this time with him in the secret place.

Speaker A

Was there any resistance?

Speaker A

Explore that with Jesus.

Speaker A

Ask him about that sitting at that table.

Speaker A

What was the gift, the identity statement that was written on the card.

Speaker A

Take time just to be present with him.

Speaker A

Take time to honor him and thank him.

Speaker A

Take care.

Speaker A

Until next time.

Speaker A

Sam.
