“Where we encounter Jesus through Christian meditation and imagination From the head to the heart”

Speaker A

Welcome to Holistic Hearts.

Speaker A

This is episode 246.

Speaker A

I'm so glad you guys are here.

Speaker A

I want to shout out Plum Creek out of Castle Rock, Colorado, the mom company there.

Speaker A

I had the pleasure of connecting and teaching and creating space for moms to encounter Jesus last week.

Speaker A

And, guys, it's always such a joy to do that.

Speaker A

And it is one of the greatest honors of my life to help create space for people to encounter Jesus in the secret place.

Speaker A

So shout out to my moms there you guys are rocking the mom life.

Speaker A

Blessings to all of you guys.

Speaker A

All right, so this Saturday, I'm hosting a vision board night at my house with a dear friend of mine who is also a retired art teacher to my kids and many others in our school district.

Speaker A

And she's a longtime listener of Holistic Hearts.

Speaker A

So shout out to Mrs. Susan.

Speaker A

We have both been preparing for hosting and leading this vision board night, and I realize I would love to share this with all of you as well, so not just the women that are coming into my home.

Speaker A

Although I love that.

Speaker A

I also want to bring this to you guys here on Holistic Hearts.

Speaker A

So here's the thing.

Speaker A

We're in January.

Speaker A

Everyone's talking about word of the year goals, resolutions, and we've got our new planners.

Speaker A

Shout out to Soul Planner, which is my favorite planner.

Speaker A

You know, we've all got this, like, fresh start mindset, most of us, I should say.

Speaker A

And I personally love this time of year.

Speaker A

I feel like it's a natural rhythm to ride this wave.

Speaker A

The ex, the excitement, the anticipation, the dreaming, the wondering, the quietness of the days.

Speaker A

It just brings a little bit more space to contemplate and to be reflective over the past year and looking into this next season.

Speaker A

And I want to invite you to dive in deeper too, and step into more of a creative space.

Speaker A

So what is God whispering to you about this upcoming season?

Speaker A

Yes, what are your goals, desires, your hopes and dreams?

Speaker A

But also really paying attention to that still small voice that maybe you've ignored for a while or it's been there and you don't want to acknowledge it quite yet because, ooh, that dream is a little scary.

Speaker A

This episode, episode is going to be for you.

Speaker A

So creating a vision board is going to flow easy when we make space to listen and be present in God's presence, because that's where it's going to flow from.

Speaker A

And really this is all about creating, transformation and not temporary motivation.

Speaker A

Did you know that God has even bigger dreams for you than you do?

Speaker A

And to me, that's Wild God has promises that he has declared over you that he is waiting to partner with you or refresh your hope or ignite new hope within you.

Speaker A

So let's dive in and talk about Vision Boards and why Vision Boards, the why and the how to Creating a Kingdom Rooted vision board for 2026.

Speaker A

And we're going to walk through step by step, what that process looks like, including some journal props that I'll be talking about and also wrapping it up with a beautiful encounter as per usual.

Speaker A

Because I love spending time in his secret place and I know you do too.

Speaker A

So let me start off by saying I am fairly new to vision boards.

Speaker A

The last few years is when I first started doing it and really understanding the value behind it.

Speaker A

I if I'm honest, I used to think it was a little bit woo woo.

Speaker A

Just not really seeing the benefit of doing a cute collage with magazines and putting them on a poster board.

Speaker A

And I I don't know, I just for me, it wasn't something that I really thought would do anything or do much.

Speaker A

But here's what I've learned.

Speaker A

There's actually something really powerful and intentional about making the invisible visible, about putting something tangible on paper.

Speaker A

Declaring the next season.

Speaker A

And the first vision board that I did was with my first business coach, shout out to Chelsea.

Speaker A

She had Joshua and I write down on sticky notes.

Speaker A

This was like a different way to do it.

Speaker A

So on sticky notes, different colors, dreams are ideas that we both were desiring and hoping for our family, for our marriage, for our businesses.

Speaker A

And we put them all organized on a poster board.

Speaker A

And what is so cool is I pulled it out a couple of years ago, so about a year afterwards.

Speaker A

And seriously, those I think there were probably 80 sticky notes that we organized on this poster board.

Speaker A

Most of those sticky notes had come to fruition.

Speaker A

If not, they were in the process of coming into fruition, which is astounding.

Speaker A

This past year I Back in 2024, I sat down at my computer and had a little time with Canva.

Speaker A

If you don't know what Canva is, it's like the greatest graphic design, easy button, and with AI, you can ask it to draw anything for you.

Speaker A

So I sat down and created a very intentional board that I felt like the Lord was leading me into.

Speaker A

And that was part of my vision board was I created this AI picture vision board for 2024 and it continued to come to life and it continued to inspire me to keep pursuing and going after the things that the Lord had put on my and it's really cool to continue to look at that.

Speaker A

It's still inspiring, spiring to me today.

Speaker A

And even the post it note vision board is the same way.

Speaker A

It continues to inspire me to seek the Lord for those things and ask him for those visions.

Speaker A

So let's look at vision boards from a biblical perspective.

Speaker A

Habakkuk 2:2,3 says, Write the vision and make it plain on tablets that he may run who reads it.

Speaker A

For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it will speak and it will not lie, though it tarries.

Speaker A

Wait for it, because it will surely come.

Speaker A

So the word vision.

Speaker A

There it is, guys.

Speaker A

And I am not a Hebrew scholar, but when I look this up on the Blue Letter Bible app, it's a very cool app if you want to dig deeper into the meaning of words.

Speaker A

The word is H A Z O N hazon and it means a sight, mentally dream, revelation or oracle.

Speaker A

A divine revelation is also related to a verb translated as saw in the first chapter of Habakkuk 1:1.

Speaker A

So I don't know about you, but if you hear that, that is vision, that is imagination, that is coming up with ideas, dreams that are from the heart of your creator.

Speaker A

How cool is that?

Speaker A

Write the vision, make it plain.

Speaker A

God actually tells us to make the vision tangible.

Speaker A

Like tangible.

Speaker A

Write it down, put it where you can see it, to literally run with this message and or picture that you have been given, go after it.

Speaker A

So why?

Speaker A

Because what we focus on expands, right?

Speaker A

What we give our attention to, it grows.

Speaker A

So if you see your vision board daily, it will continue to remind you of the vision that God has put on your heart.

Speaker A

So maybe it's writing a book or, you know, you're called to write a book.

Speaker A

And on your vision board, like mine, I have the Encountering Jesus book on there still.

Speaker A

And that is going to give me inspiration.

Speaker A

It's going to remind me of what the Lord has laid me on my heart, and it's gonna remind you of what has been laid upon your heart too.

Speaker A

So no matter how long it takes, right though it may, Terry, it will come to fruition.

Speaker A

It will come to pass as Habakkuk 22 through 3 says.

Speaker A

Another beautiful perspective is a verse that has been speaking to me for the last, gosh, six months, months.

Speaker A

It's also a part of my husband and I's word of the year.

Speaker A

Um, so I'm going to bring that into this conversation too is Isaiah 43:18 through 19.

Speaker A

And the context is God was declaring over the Israelites what he was going to do after they had spent years in the wilderness and they were really struggling, they were discouraged.

Speaker A

Does anybody else resonate with that?

Speaker A

So God speaks to Isaiah and to us with these hope filled, extravagant declarations.

Speaker A

Do not call to to mind the former things or consider things of the past.

Speaker A

That's how it starts.

Speaker A

Do not call to mind the former things or consider things of the past.

Speaker A

In other words, let's release what no longer is a part of our story or a part of this upcoming current season.

Speaker A

Let go of past.

Speaker A

Let go of those past mistakes, past failures, past attempts, past words that were spoken over you.

Speaker A

Let it go then.

Speaker A

Verse 19 says, Behold, pay attention.

Speaker A

See, I am going to do something new now.

Speaker A

It will spring up.

Speaker A

Will you not be aware of it?

Speaker A

I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, rivers in the desert.

Speaker A

The vision ahead, my friend, is different than anything else we've ever experienced.

Speaker A

You know the areas in your life that we have or you have given up, maybe on attempting to do or praying, or maybe you have let go of trying and he sees that and he's making a way that feels impossible.

Speaker A

He is the way maker.

Speaker A

What this verse tells me is that he makes new pathways in our hearts, minds and lives.

Speaker A

He is the one that does the impossible thing like bring rivers into deserts and make pathways through the heavy dense forests.

Speaker A

Romans 15:13 says, May the God of hope fill us with all joy and peace in believing so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Speaker A

He is relentlessly hopeful.

Speaker A

I love the quote from Graham Cook where he says, whoever God is, he is that relentlessly.

Speaker A

And I know he is a God of hope and he is relentlessly hopeful over your situation, over your circumstance, over your next season, over the vision that he has put on your heart.

Speaker A

So how do we know the vision God has for us in this season?

Speaker A

We have to create space to commune with Him.

Speaker A

We have to create time and quiet to hear his heart.

Speaker A

We have to pay attention.

Speaker A

One of those words in Isaiah 43:19 is, Behold, I am doing something new.

Speaker A

Will you not be aware of it?

Speaker A

So paying attention, paying attention.

Speaker A

So when we partner and go to the Creator of your heart and align with him in your vision, this is where traction happens and a kingdom vision board looks like or it starts like listening, making space.

Speaker A

A kingdom vision board starts with God.

Speaker A

What are you doing this year in this season?

Speaker A

What are you inviting me into?

Speaker A

What are you wanting me to learn and grow in?

Speaker A

It also looks like it's honoring the season that you're in.

Speaker A

Not Just your, your dreams of, you know, maybe you have a vision of.

Speaker A

Um.

Speaker A

Well, I don't really want to give specific examples on that, but let me.

Speaker A

Let's see.

Speaker A

If you're in a season with young kids, your vision board is going to look different than when you are an empty nester down the road.

Speaker A

If you are just starting a project or in the middle of a transition, it's going to be a different season for you.

Speaker A

And we've talked a lot about honoring your season in this podcast.

Speaker A

So here's a little bit of a framework for you to, to kind of grasp this, go through the four seasons and think through where are you at, metaphorically in this season and honor it.

Speaker A

Are you in a season of harvest?

Speaker A

Then it's go time.

Speaker A

Are you.

Speaker A

Are you in the season of winter where things are brewing underneath and things are quiet and you're hunkered down and you're in a season of rest, being mindful of that as you create your vision board, honor it.

Speaker A

Your season matters.

Speaker A

And a Kingdom vision board is going to honor that.

Speaker A

It also includes internal transformation and kingdom identity.

Speaker A

It's about becoming who God already sees you to be.

Speaker A

A good question to ask is how does heaven see me right now?

Speaker A

How does Heaven see you right now?

Speaker A

A lot of vision boards are about what you want to do or have, and I encourage you that it would be rooted in who are you becoming?

Speaker A

How does the Father see you in this season?

Speaker A

And this matters more than any checked box or accomplishment, I promise.

Speaker A

Another thing with the Kingdom vision board is it's held loosely and not tightly.

Speaker A

There's a thing that I've been learning the last few years about surrender and laying down everything that he has gifted me or has blessed my hands with.

Speaker A

And the way that we live, yielded and surrendered to his spirit is where life is.

Speaker A

So we can plan something and it might switch.

Speaker A

God might have a change of plans.

Speaker A

You might have some something on your vision board.

Speaker A

In January and by March, God redirects you entirely.

Speaker A

And that is okay.

Speaker A

Proverbs 16:9 says, A man's heart plans the way, but the Lord directs his steps.

Speaker A

He is directing your steps.

Speaker A

Your vision board is your plan.

Speaker A

And as much as you can right now, aligning your heart with it.

Speaker A

But you hold it with open hands, ready for God to redirect and guide your steps moving forward.

Speaker A

An example of this would be last year when we started 2025.

Speaker A

I had no clue that I would be selling my podcast business and laying that down.

Speaker A

No clue.

Speaker A

Things happen and we readjust I readjusted when it was time to lay it down and he asked if I was willing.

Speaker A

The important thing is I knew that whatever he had was worth it.

Speaker A

And it's about the journey and knowing he is with us.

Speaker A

When we see life shift and pivot, is it hard?

Speaker A

Absolutely.

Speaker A

Absolutely.

Speaker A

It is not comfortable to shift.

Speaker A

And you guys, that's a minor example.

Speaker A

I realize that there are things that happen tragically.

Speaker A

There are things that happen that cause immense grief or cancer or things that happen like that, and we readjust and we give him all of it.

Speaker A

So we, when we make our vision board, we create our vision board.

Speaker A

We're not demanding that God give us what we want.

Speaker A

We're asking him to clarify what he wants and what he wants for our hearts in this season, knowing that there's gonna be ups and downs and there's gonna be trials and there's going to be things that are gonna test our faith.

Speaker A

But he sees us for who we're becoming.

Speaker A

All right, so let's get practical on how to prepare.

Speaker A

So if you're going to create a Kingdom vision board, whether Saturday with me or on your own, here's how to prepare.

Speaker A

Step 1 Carve out unhurried time.

Speaker A

This is definitely not something that you're going to rush through.

Speaker A

You might need two to three hours of quiet, uninterrupted space or more.

Speaker A

You might take a whole weekend.

Speaker A

I know my sweet mom usually takes an annual retreat and goes up into a lodge to be quiet for the weekend and just listen, carving out time that might not be available to you.

Speaker A

But hey, you can always ask a friend to swap, like babysitting your kids or if you're a mom with kids at school, maybe blocking off one day while they're at school to utilize the time when the house is quiet.

Speaker A

If you work full time, maybe you carve out one Saturday afternoon or morning to where this could be available to you.

Speaker A

This is like an appointment with God and honor that time with Him.

Speaker A

Step 2 Starting with Prayer and listening and journaling before you open a single magazine or pull up Pinterest or Canva, you need to listen.

Speaker A

Here are some questions that would be really helpful for you to ask and to bring to Jesus in your journal.

Speaker A

So I'm going to go through these and I'm going to provide these in the show notes for you to take and journal on your own.

Speaker A

But I'm just going to run through these as great starting points for you to ask some questions with Jesus.

Speaker A

Recognize where you currently are.

Speaker A

What season am I in what season am I entering into?

Speaker A

Where are you feeling discouraged?

Speaker A

Hopeless?

Speaker A

Hopeful?

Speaker A

Ask the father, what do you see when you look at me?

Speaker A

What are some of the promises, prophetic words, etc, you want to remind me?

Speaker A

In this season, what are you to meet in the season?

Speaker A

What part of your personality God, do you want to reveal to me?

Speaker A

What do I need to shift in my mindset to become the person you already see me to be?

Speaker A

In this season, what have you repe.

Speaker A

Repeatedly highlighted for me?

Speaker A

A verse, a phrase, a song?

Speaker A

In this season, what is bringing you joy?

Speaker A

What areas do you feel the Lord calling you into?

Speaker A

An upgrade?

Speaker A

Using your sanctified imagination.

Speaker A

Dream about a day three months from now.

Speaker A

Six months, one year.

Speaker A

What does that day look like?

Speaker A

Friends, there are so many questions that could get your mind rolling.

Speaker A

These are just a handful to have on hand to explore and sit with those and journal out those answers.

Speaker A

And really do not rush this part because it's really important to know where you are and where you're going.

Speaker A

Step three, reflect on the different areas.

Speaker A

This is really important, especially as a holistic hearts listener.

Speaker A

You care about your whole life, not just one area.

Speaker A

So think about spiritual.

Speaker A

How do you want to grow closer to God?

Speaker A

Relational family, marriage, friendships.

Speaker A

What do you want to cultivate?

Speaker A

Physical health?

Speaker A

How do you want to steward the body that he's given you?

Speaker A

In the season, it might not be, you know, running 10 miles.

Speaker A

It could be okay.

Speaker A

He's calling me to do some mobility work this season.

Speaker A

Calling and work.

Speaker A

What is God calling you to do or create?

Speaker A

Home environment?

Speaker A

What atmosphere do you want to create?

Speaker A

Are you wanting to focus on beauty?

Speaker A

On remodeling, on upgrading some things around your home?

Speaker A

Rest and play.

Speaker A

How will you rest and delight in good things?

Speaker A

That's really important.

Speaker A

How will you financial.

Speaker A

How do you want to steward the resources that he's given you?

Speaker A

And you don't have to do something for every category on your vision board.

Speaker A

But don't just focus on one area.

Speaker A

You are a whole being.

Speaker A

So make sure that's included on your vision board in some capacity.

Speaker A

Now, step four is gather all of those materials.

Speaker A

You could do this before you even start the journaling process, but figured I'd put this as step four because the other three are very important.

Speaker A

So physical supplies, poster board, large piece of cardstock, magazines, scissors, glue sticks, markers, colored pens.

Speaker A

Whatever floats your boat.

Speaker A

With decorating a vision board, go for it.

Speaker A

You can also look up ideas on Pinterest as well.

Speaker A

Um, then there's also the digital option.

Speaker A

Like I said, canva is a great way to digitally create your vision board.

Speaker A

Um, a Pinterest board or PowerPoint or Google Slides would be another digital option if you don't want to put it on paper.

Speaker A

But I do encourage you to put it tangibly on something thing so that you can see it.

Speaker A

Like, my vision board is in my office.

Speaker A

So when I walk into my office, that's what I see.

Speaker A

Um, and then as far as, like creating the atmosphere, number one, tell the people that are going to be affected by your getting quiet and wanting to create the space.

Speaker A

Communicate what you need.

Speaker A

This is going to be really important.

Speaker A

Second, worship music, I think that just sets the tone.

Speaker A

It gets your heart in the right posture to receive and to just get into a space that you can hear from the Lord.

Speaker A

Um, you could have candles, you could have your Bible and your journal.

Speaker A

Water, tea, coffee, whatever suits your fancy.

Speaker A

Uh, Celsius.

Speaker A

Have all of those things already around you.

Speaker A

And the last step is invite a friend into the process.

Speaker A

This is optional but highly encouraged.

Speaker A

There's something powerful about doing this with others.

Speaker A

Hence the reason why we're gathering a bunch of people, a small group of people in our living room to create this together.

Speaker A

Um, you could also, if you don't have a group of people, invite one person.

Speaker A

Maybe do it with your kids, maybe you do it with your husband.

Speaker A

Invite a friend via Zoom, or gather a few women at somewhere special, like a weekend away.

Speaker A

And you each work on your boards and spend some time praying together, coming together, worshiping, honoring God and share what you're hearing from God and encouraging one another.

Speaker A

All right, so you have all of what you need to be prepared.

Speaker A

Now, this is the actual process of creating the board.

Speaker A

And I cannot wait for Saturday when Mrs. Susan will be guiding us through the creativities area, because this is not my strong suit.

Speaker A

But I'm learning, I'm growing.

Speaker A

But this is your own.

Speaker A

So I always enjoy hearing how people create their vision boards, but this is highly personal to you and to the Holy Spirit.

Speaker A

So these are just general guidelines to help you with the actual process.

Speaker A

So again, starting with that prayer of just holy Spirit, this is time with you.

Speaker A

This is your vision for my life.

Speaker A

Show me what to focus on.

Speaker A

Highlight what matters, give me clarity.

Speaker A

I trust in you to lead me and let those images and words find you.

Speaker A

So if you have your magazines out, just flip.

Speaker A

Start flipping through.

Speaker A

Don't force it.

Speaker A

Don't go looking for specific things.

Speaker A

Just flip through the magazines and whatever catches your eye, a word, an image, a color, cut it Out.

Speaker A

Um, you might not even know why something resonates, and that's okay.

Speaker A

Trust your intuition.

Speaker A

The Holy Spirit's gonna speak through to you in that regard.

Speaker A

Um, and cut out more than what you think you're gonna need.

Speaker A

You can always narrow it down later.

Speaker A

Then, if you want, you can organize it into categories.

Speaker A

You have, like, a set pile of images and words and start grouping them together.

Speaker A

It could be your spiritual life, family, relationships, the health and wellness calling, work, dreams, goals.

Speaker A

See what themes kind of emerge as you start compiling these into different categories.

Speaker A

Then you're going to arrange it and glue it.

Speaker A

So the first thing first is create that background.

Speaker A

What do you want the backdrop to be?

Speaker A

And then start playing around with the layout.

Speaker A

Don't glue anything yet.

Speaker A

Move things around until it feels just right.

Speaker A

And some people like to be super creative and make sections.

Speaker A

Some people like the collage.

Speaker A

Some people like clean and organized, Some like messy and layered.

Speaker A

Susan was telling me an idea of, like, having a window within a window.

Speaker A

That's kind of a cool idea.

Speaker A

So there's really no wrong way day.

Speaker A

And when you're happy with the arrangement, then you start gluing.

Speaker A

And you can write words directly on the board.

Speaker A

Scripture verses, words that God has spoken to you.

Speaker A

That's really important.

Speaker A

Those prophetic words or your word of the year, names of people that you're really being intentional about, praying for reminders of his promises and decorate it, make it yours.

Speaker A

This isn't a school art project that has to be perfect.

Speaker A

This is a tool that's gonna keep you focused on the vision that God has for you.

Speaker A

Something that you could put on the back is maybe your.

Speaker A

The name.

Speaker A

Your name, the year, your word of the year.

Speaker A

If you didn't put on the front maybe a prayer or declaration over the year, you could always put like a current picture of what you're working on or even yourself or your family.

Speaker A

That's kind of a cute idea.

Speaker A

But I really discourage you putting any kind of timeline pressures or comparisons or unrealistic expectations.

Speaker A

It's going to set you up for shame.

Speaker A

So.

Speaker A

And what I mean by that is like, I will lose, you know, I will lose 10 pounds by March, or I will write the book by the end of February.

Speaker A

Let it just be as it is supposed to be.

Speaker A

The comparison part, I think even in the comparison, the I shoulds.

Speaker A

That needs to not be on any part of your board.

Speaker A

Okay?

Speaker A

Just be in alignment with who the creator says that you are and who you are becoming.

Speaker A

We don't need to look to the right or to the left, just focus on Him.

Speaker A

Um, and then the unrealistic expectations that set you up for shame, again, those are more like the goals that are going to come out of your vision board.

Speaker A

Just, again, what is that sweet spot of living in his peace without striving and also without being indecisive either, and without forward movement.

Speaker A

I love.

Speaker A

Also, Graham Cook talks about how just riding the wave of momentum of the Spirit, so allowing him to nudge you when needing, nudged, and to carry you into the next chapter of your life.

Speaker A

So creating that board is step one, but what you do with it afterwards is important too.

Speaker A

And number one, you got to put it somewhere where you're going to see it regularly.

Speaker A

Like I said, I have it in my office.

Speaker A

You could put it on your bedroom wall, you could put it in your closet door.

Speaker A

You take a picture of it, make it your phone wallpaper.

Speaker A

You just want to make sure that you're seeing it consistently.

Speaker A

And why?

Speaker A

Because we become what we behold and what you focus on expands.

Speaker A

Continue to rev, visit it and continue to ask the Lord for more revelation and hold it loosely.

Speaker A

Remember, this is our, our plan, but God is the one that's directing your steps.

Speaker A

If something on your board doesn't happen, that's okay.

Speaker A

Uh, if God redirects you entirely, that's okay.

Speaker A

If he adds something you never imagined, even better.

Speaker A

Your vision board is a tool, not a taskmaster.

Speaker A

Task master.

Speaker A

Right.

Speaker A

Um, but yeah, just keep revisiting it, asking the questions like, how, Lord, have youe already done this?

Speaker A

What's still to come?

Speaker A

What needs to shift?

Speaker A

What am I learning?

Speaker A

And celebrate the progress that you've made and adjust as needed and continue to stay aligned with the Holy Spirit and what he's doing in the current season that you're in.

Speaker A

And again, share it with someone.

Speaker A

Don't keep this private.

Speaker A

Share it with a trusted friend, maybe your spouse, a mentor.

Speaker A

And let.

Speaker A

No, let someone else know what you're hoping for, what you're believing for the vision that you're seeing in your mind with someone who is trustworthy to hold that precious pearl.

Speaker A

Right?

Speaker A

So before we wrap up, I want to lead you through a short encounter with Jesus about your vision.

Speaker A

So if you're driving and you can't fully engage right now, bookmark this and come back to it.

Speaker A

But if you can find a quiet space, maybe you're walking and you can be present with this encounter really quick.

Speaker A

So close your eyes.

Speaker A

If you can.

Speaker A

Take a few deep breaths with me, in through your nose and out through your mouth.

Speaker A

Again.

Speaker A

In and out.

Speaker A

One more time.

Speaker A

In and out.

Speaker A

Holy Spirit, thank you for this moment.

Speaker A

Thank you that you're here.

Speaker A

Picture yourself standing in a room and in your hands you're holding a blank poster board.

Speaker A

It's empty, clean, full of possibility.

Speaker A

Jesus walks into the room and sits down across from you.

Speaker A

He's looking at you with that twinkle in his eye, a smile on his face, and so much love.

Speaker A

Enjoy an expectation for what this year holds.

Speaker A

He asks you the same question that he once asked his disciple.

Speaker A

What do you want?

Speaker A

Don't overthink it.

Speaker A

Just notice what comes.

Speaker A

He asked another question.

Speaker A

What do I want for you this year?

Speaker A

Sit with that.

Speaker A

What do you sense him saying?

Speaker A

Maybe it's the same as what you've been thinking.

Speaker A

Maybe it's different, Maybe it's bigger.

Speaker A

Maybe it's simpler.

Speaker A

Just receive what he's showing you.

Speaker A

Now.

Speaker A

Picture him handing you something.

Speaker A

It might be an image, it might be a word, might be a feeling or, or color.

Speaker A

What is he placing in your hands?

Speaker A

Thank him for this vision.

Speaker A

Thank him for what he's doing in you and through you this year.

Speaker A

When you're ready, open your eyes.

Speaker A

Write down what you sensed.

Speaker A

This is part of your vision.

Speaker A

Taking time to pause.

Speaker A

Okay, friend, so here's your homework this week.

Speaker A

Number one, gather your supplies.

Speaker A

Your poster board, magazines, scissors, glue, get them all ready.

Speaker A

Number two, schedule your vision board time.

Speaker A

Put it on your calendar at least two to three hours this weekend or next.

Speaker A

Make it happen.

Speaker A

Communicate with those, your loved ones, and create some time and space to do that.

Speaker A

It is absolutely worthy of your time.

Speaker A

Number three, you're gonna start listening.

Speaker A

Before you create anything, spend some time this week just asking God those questions.

Speaker A

What are you doing this year?

Speaker A

What season am I in?

Speaker A

What do you want to grow in me?

Speaker A

That the journal prompts that I gave you.

Speaker A

Those are all excellent jumping off points.

Speaker A

Okay?

Speaker A

And number four, actually create your board.

Speaker A

Don't just think about it, do it.

Speaker A

And when you're done, send me a picture.

Speaker A

You can message me on Instagram or Facebook.

Speaker A

I want to see what God's vision is for you in this next season.

Speaker A

One more thing, my friends.

Speaker A

Next week on the podcast, we're gonna be diving into Psalm 27, one of my all time favorite verses.

Speaker A

It is indeed my life verse is in Psalm 27.

Speaker A

And we're gonna be talking about the five postures of encountering God.

Speaker A

And I'm so excited for you to be able to jump into that with me as it's been a sweet conversation with the Lord I've been having lately.

Speaker A

So this year is going to be a year of clarity.

Speaker A

It's gonna be a year of focus.

Speaker A

It's gonna be in alignment with purposes in your life.

Speaker A

And I cannot wait to watch how it all unfolds.

Speaker A

All right, friends, I will talk to you soon.

Speaker A

Take care.

Speaker A

Bye.

Speaker A

Bye.
